If you’re buying pay per click traffic on Google AdWords and you’re using their standard “all devices” settings, you’re getting a mix of web and mobile traffic. Google makes it pretty easy to figure out what is what though. You can include this parameter in your URLs to determine how much of your traffic is from mobile devices:

Once you’ve done that, you should absolutely take the next step and create separate campaigns to target and better convert your mobile users. But that’s a topic for a future post…
